Todd Navigation can provide training for Admiralty Digital Publications (ADP) and e-Navigator Planning Station.

Admiralty Digital Publications Training

  • Installation of Admiralty Digital Publications software
  • Activation of ADP software
  • Getting the most out of TotalTide and Admiralty Digital List of Lights
  • Purchase of additional ADP elements
  • Problem solving and trouble-shooting

We train small groups of up to three people at our facility in Bangor. Larger groups are trained at the nearby SIGNAL Centre of Business Excellence.

We understand the time constraints of your business and can bring our training to your offices, or even onboard your vessels, where ADP can also be installed for the first time under our expert guidance. Our training package includes course notes, and a powerpoint presentation, meaning that after the course, you can use it with confidence.

ECDIS Training

We have teamed up with ECDIS Ltd to provide your Officers with the best ECDIS training available.

ECDIS Ltd's Flag State-Approved course takes the IMO 1.27 model course and improves upon it significantly, with an emphasis on getting the most out of your ECDIS equipment, focussing on navigating solutions when GPS is unavailable by utilising redundancy in the form of traditional navigational methods.

ECDIS Ltd offers a team of highly-skilled trainers, all of whom have spent time at sea and are subsequently highly experienced and knowledgeable in the practical use of ECDIS. To date, ECDIS Ltd has trained over 1,000 mariners worldwide and at its' purpose built state-of-the-art training facility in Southampton, UK.

The IMO ECDIS course is a full 5 days (40 hours) and widely acknowledged as one of the best ECDIS courses available. The Flag State-approved course is designed for candidates seeking certification as officers in charge of a navigational watch and for experienced mariners and other persons with navigational responsibilities, such as pilots.

As well as the 5 day course, ECDIS Ltd provides a full range of ECDIS training, including one day introductions and bespoke packages for Marine Inspectors and Port Authorities who require ‘pocket cribs’ for use when quality controlling ECDIS onboard ship.
